Chatonia Smalls is a behavioral health consultant serving patients in the Pain Management program at HopeHealth on Palmetto Street.
She graduated from the University of South Carolina, Columbia, SC, with a Master of Social Work and from Coker College, Hartsville, SC, with a Bachelor of Social Work.
She is a Licensed Independent Social Worker and has an extensive background in helping patients with chronic medical conditions learn to cope effectively and achieve an improved quality of life. She is passionate about the holistic approach to health care and has a particular interest in the geriatric population.
Smalls is a native of Lake City, SC she is certified by the Association for Social Work Boards, and a member of the Council of Nephrology Social Workers. She is guardian ad litem for South Carolina DSS and enjoys gardening as a therapeutic intervention to relieve stress.
