Community Volunteers: HopeHealth’s Front-Line Caregivers

HopeHealth celebrated National Volunteer Week with a breakfast in April to honor those participating in the new volunteer program at HopeHealth Medical Plaza.

These charter volunteers help greet our patients, answer questions, provide directions, and enhance the warm, friendly atmosphere being fostered at HopeHealth. One of the most visible services the volunteers provide is helping patients check in at radiology and the lab.

At the volunteer program’s core are a handful of volunteers that include: Dan Allen, Lola Altman, Tammy Burgess, Ann Humphries, Henry Humphries, Paula Jackson, Mary Jantovsky, Tony Jantovsky, Ann Lindsey, Ann Robinson (pictured above), Jerry Vinson, and Pat Vinson.

According to Diane Davis, HopeHealth’s community outreach coordinator, the program began at the Medical Plaza when it opened its doors in February and staff recognized a need for volunteers to help guide people to their destinations.

Davis continues to grow the volunteer services and those interested in becoming a volunteer at HopeHealth should contact her by email at didavis@hope-health.org, or by phone at 843-667-9414 ext. 1914 (Florence), or 803-433-4124 ext. 5061 (Manning).
