2023: SC Thrive Regional Partner of the Year award
HopeHealth received the SC Thrive Regional Partner of the Year for the Coastal Region award.
2022: HRSA recognizes HopeHealth
HopeHealth is recognized by the Health Resources & Services Administration (HRSA) “for notable quality improvement achievements” in the areas of enhancing access, quality, health equity, addressing social risk factors, and health information technology.
2021: HopeHealth recognized by the American Heart Association and American Medical Association
HopeHealth achieved Silver level recognition as part of the 2021 “Target: BP” Recognition Program. The Silver Award recognizes practices that have demonstrated a commitment to improving blood pressure control through measurement accuracy.
2021: HRSA recognizes HopeHealth
HopeHealth is recognized by the Health Resources & Services Administration (HRSA) “for notable quality improvement achievements” in the areas of access, quality, health equity, and health information technology.
2021: Marion Medallion
The Marion Medallion awards are given each year by Francis Marion University and the Morning News to recognize those who give quietly of themselves for the betterment of others. The medallion is named for Gen. Francis Marion, the namesake of FMU, a revolutionary war leader who guided the guerrilla forces in the Pee Dee region.
2021: Million Hearts® Designee
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recognized HopeHealth as a Million Hearts® Hospital and Health System Recognition Program designee. As the first ever community health center to achieve this award, HopeHealth was acknowledged for their efforts in helping keeping people healthy, optimizing clinical care, improving outcomes for people who are underserved, and health care innovations.
Million Hearts® is a national initiative co-led by CDC and the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) with the goal of preventing 1 million heart attacks and strokes within 5 years. This new recognition program provides an opportunity to acknowledge and share the insights and contributions of hospitals and health systems nationwide in efforts to prevent heart attacks and strokes.
2018: Advocacy Center of Excellence -Gold Level
An Advocacy Center of Excellence, or ACE, is any Health Center that has achieved certain measures of advocacy success and demonstrated ongoing commitment to advocacy by making it an organizational priority. ACEs are not only actively engaged and involved with NACHC and federal policy issues, but also with their state’s PCA and any key state-level policy issues impacting Health Centers and their patients. HopeHealth has maintained this status for 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022, and 2023.

2015: Six HopeHealth sites receive NCQA Patient-Centered Medical Home (PCMH) Recognition (Level 2)
NCQA PCMH Recognition is the most widely adopted model for transforming primary care practices into medical homes. Research confirms medical homes can lead to higher quality and lower costs, and can improve patients’ and providers’ experience of care.

2014: South Carolina Office of Rural Health’s Organization of the Year Award
Each year, the South Carolina Office of Rural Health has recognized the innovation of exemplary rural healthcare providers, programs and practices by awarding outstanding provider, practice and programs annually at the Rural Health conference.
2014: Molina Healthcare Top Quality Provider
Molina’s mission is to provide quality health care to people receiving government assistance.
2011: SC Black Family Expo Non-profit Hero
The Heroes and Sheroes Awards recognize business and non-profit leaders who have gone beyond the call of duty to make our state a better place to live and work. 2011 was the second year that HopeHealth was awarded this honor.
2010: SC Florence Chamber Building Bridges Community Service Award
Building Bridges is a small group experience that, over the course of a five-week period, focuses on cultural diversity in the workplace. The program covers topics like religion, workplace diversity, gangs and family dynamics in the 21st century.
Each year participants nominate a local organization or group for the Building Bridges Community Service Award. Nominations are made for making a positive difference in encouraging diversity in the community.

2009: SC Secretary of State Angel Award
To be selected as an Angel, the charity must have devoted 80 percent or more of its total expenditures to charitable programs; the charity must have been in existence for three or more years; the charity must make good use of volunteer services; the charity must receive minimal funding from grants; and the charity must be in compliance with the South Carolina Solicitation of Charitable Funds Act.
2003: SC Jerry Binns Award for Excellence in HIV/STD Care and Support Services
Awarded at the annual South Carolina HIV/STD conference for outstanding individuals and groups who are involved with HIV/STD prevention, treatment, or care services.
