HopeHealth provides chiropractic care services in Florence, SC. Recognizing the need for integrated medicine, HopeHealth began offering chiropractic care in November 2014. Dr. Brian Hutcheson and Dr. Kunal Patel provide diagnosis and treatment of musculoskeletal, biomechanical and neurological disorders. While chiropractic care is a specialty service, our providers help people of all ages with a wide variety of conditions, including joint pain, headaches, strained muscles, numbness and tingling, as well as balance issues. Additionally, chiropractic care services help rehabilitate patients involved in trauma or injury, as well as following surgery, and is also known to alleviate discomfort and pain during pregnancy, as well as provide relief from colic and constipation in infants.
Chiropractic care collaborations with primary care providers give patients a unique assessment; one that takes into account the patients’ physical form and deviations from their individual norm. Chiropractic care focuses on the relationship between the body’s structure and its function. Chiropractic care is a philosophy, science and art; a system of adjusting the spine without the use of surgical means to correct areas with reduced coordination.
Most everyone has some joint or muscle pain once in a while that will go away on its own over time. However, when patients complain of pain that affects activities of daily living and interferes with enjoying the activities they love, they may be suffering from an autoimmune or rheumatic disease. These carry symptoms that affect the joints, muscles, and bones. Without proper treatment, pain, swelling, stiffness can occur and progress further to joint damage. Rheumatology involves the diagnosis and treatment of rheumatic diseases to manage or alleviate symptoms and prevent further damage or deformity of the affected joints.
HopeHealth opened its rheumatology department in January 2019 after it became apparent that many patients were suffering from autoimmune diseases such as arthritis and osteoporosis. As part of our integrated care approach, we address your health holistically, which includes family medicine as well as specialty medicine. Dr. Supen Patel, Dr. J. Harrell Docherty, and Melissa Felder, FNP, use a team approach to treat patients with rheumatic disorders or diseases.
HopeHealth offers Pain Management to help reduce, and/or eliminate chronic pain through consistent and relevant treatment and intervention. HopeHealth Pain Management is committed to helping patients identify their cause of pain, and the appropriate and effective treatment options including: medications, physical therapy, behavioral health, relaxation techniques, and meditation.
