Lend a Helping Hand

The newly-developed volunteer program at HopeHealth allows us to expand our reach in the community and add an extra touch of warm hospitality within the walls of our centers.

Become a Volunteer

There are so many ways to make a difference.

Join HopeHealth Volunteers and assist our guests in navigating their health care experience while also growing your skills, forming new friendships, and improving your mental and overall health. By volunteering at HopeHealth, you help us provide services to those who often encounter social and financial roadblocks to receiving health care. Volunteering is an extremely rewarding experience. There is a sensation of pride in giving back to your community. The volunteer application is located below the volunteer opportunity descriptions.

Volunteer Opportunities

Lobby Greeter
Lobby greeters are the first person to provide a friendly face and cordial welcome with prompt assistance to the guests of HopeHealth. Lobby greeters help guests find their way to their appointment, help with wheelchairs if needed, and help guests if they have other questions. There are 2 shifts a day – morning or afternoon, 3 – 4 hours per shift. Volunteers would need to be able to stand for most of the shift.

Suite Guest Guide
Help guests of HopeHealth find their way – directing, assisting, and supporting guests at visits as well as supporting staff within the provider suites. May help with registration at kiosks or at the window, paperwork, guidance to the lab or pharmacy, as well as office support within the suites. There are 2 shifts a day – morning or afternoon, 4 hours per shift.

New Patient Welcome Center
Volunteers would orient and familiarize patients to their new medical home, and provide some office and phone support as needed. Basic computer skills such as scanning are needed. Two shifts a day – morning and afternoon – 4 hours per shift.

TeleHealth Guide
The TeleHealth guide helps patients with limited computer skills understand how to use their computer or telephone for medical visits. Must be knowledgeable with computers and with smartphones. Shifts to be determined.

Care Navigation Support Guide
To help the special populations of HopeHealth find their way – directing, assisting, and supporting guests at visits and after as well as supporting the care navigator.  Care navigation identifies certain populations, such as senior health, the Hispanic population, behavioral health, Veterans, women’s health, cancer patients, hospital care, adolescents/school-based clinics, diabetes care, early pediatrics/prenatal health, and infectious diseases, and assists with additional needs and resources outside their direct provider’s scope. Volunteers would assist guests as well as the Care Navigators with phone calls, surveys, clerical duties, and special events. This is a great role if you have a heart for one of the populations listed above. Schedules are flexible.

Hope “Buddy”
Join this pioneer program for volunteers to send cards and make calls to help support people who may be isolated or without family/support close by. Schedule is flexible, most likely just once or twice a week for a few hours.

Special Event Volunteer
Help with social events such as the monthly “Seniors with Hope” or the veterans “Cup of Joe” education and support programs, or perform administrative and in-person support for special projects and events, including National HIV Testing Day, National Community Health Center Week, AIDSWalk, Volunteer Week Events, Volunteer recognition events, Children of Hope, and more. Shifts determined by event.

Deliver mail to suites and staff throughout the HopeHealth Medical Plaza.  Would require only about 2 hours a day.

Bring your compassion, communication skills, talents, and service mindset. Receive training, recognition, and socialization opportunities while giving back to your community. Whether you can give 1 day a week, or 5, we would love to have you! Please note you must have the COVID-19 vaccination to volunteer (booster not required). Upon receiving your application, you will be contacted by the manager of volunteer programs for an interview. Volunteer placements will take place after the personal interview and background check. If you have any questions, please e-mail
