HopeHealth Celebrates National Health Center Week
FLORENCE, S.C. (August 8, 2016) – HopeHealth is celebrating National Health Center Week Aug. 7-13 at each of its locations. Visit your local HopeHealth site between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. on Advocacy Wednesday, Aug. 10, and sign up to Be the Voice that helps keep centers across the nation funded.
Be the Voice is an advocacy campaign to enlist the support of community members for health centers. While federal funding has enjoyed bipartisan support for the past 50 years, the final vote for the Fiscal Year 2017 Labor, Health, and Human Services Appropriations bill that contains health center funding requests has yet to pass the House. Let your voice make a difference by letting legislators know how important access to quality care is in the Pee Dee.
Staff at each HopeHealth site will be available Wednesday with more information on becoming an advocate. Sites include:
- Medical Plaza – 360 North Irby Street
- Francis Marion University – 121 S. Evander Drive
- Specialty Services – 600 East Palmetto Street
- Family Practice – 11 West Hospital Street
- Pediatrics 12 West South Street
- 241 Kelley Street
- 520 Thurgood Marshall Blvd, Suite B
- 210 East Market Street
Join us in celebrating health care access in our communities. Those unable to visit on Wenesday can still Be the Voice for community health centers by signing up as an advocate through http://facebook.com/hopehealthinc, or by visiting http://www.saveourchcs.org and listing HopeHealth as your community health center.
