HopeHealth Hosts Community Cookout in Timmonsville

FLORENCE, S.C. (August 8, 2016) – As part of National Health Center Week celebrations, HopeHealth will host a community cookout from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 9, at their Timmonsville office, 210 E. Market St., Timmonsville.

Stop by to find out more about HopeHealth and National Health Center Week, which runs Aug. 7-13. While at the cookout, take advantage of the opportunity to sign up as a community health center advocate and Be the Voice that helps keep centers across the nation funded.

Be the Voice is an advocacy campaign to enlist the support of community members for health centers like HopeHealth. While federal funding has enjoyed bipartisan support for the past 50 years, the final vote for the Fiscal Year 2017 Labor, Health, and Human Services Appropriations bill that contains health center funding requests has yet to pass the House. Your voice can make a difference in letting legislators know just how important access to quality care is to the Pee Dee and the nation.

Those unable to join us for the cook out can still Be the Voice for community health centers by signing up as an advocate through facebook.com/hopehealthinc, or by visiting http://www.saveourchcs.org and listing HopeHealth as your community health center.

HopeHealth is one of 21 nonprofit, federally qualified health centers in South Carolina, and provides quality and affordable health care services to individuals in Florence, Clarendon, and Williamsburg Counties.
