HopeHealth receives competitive NACHC grant award
HopeHealth has received a grant award in the amount of $28,800 from the National Association of Community Health Centers (NACHC). The Advancing Representation and Equity (ARE) in the Health Center Workforce Grant is designed to advance the principles of justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion (JEDI) in health centers.
From the grant period of April 20-December 31, 2022, HopeHealth is enlisting the help of a consultant to assess the organization’s current approach to JEDI principles, encouraging staff to provide feedback via surveys, policy and procedure review, and one-on-one interviews. These methods will ensure that all staff are included and engaged in the grant activities.
The consultant will ensure that HopeHealth continues to build upon its existing diversity, helping to make improvements with the full support of the Leadership Advisory Council and Senior Leadership Team.
HopeHealth was the only community health center in the southeast to receive this grant funding and one of only a handful in the nation. Funding is provided through Johnson & Johnson’s Our Race to Health Equity Partnership with the NACHC.
