HOPEHEALTH RECOGNIZES NATIONAL HEALTH CENTER WEEK
National Health Center Week is typically a week full of events at HopeHealth. This year, as COVID-19 continues to take a toll on our communities, HopeHealth celebrated NHCW, Aug. 9-15, by:
- Recognizing the HopeHealth Board of Directors as valuable community stakeholders and advocates
- Providing education on our advocacy efforts and goals
- Distributing food boxes to HopeHealth patients and highlighting important issues such as having a primary care provider, screenings/early detection, nutrition, blood pressure, and pre-diabetes
- Promoting the importance of registering to vote and voting, completing the census, and becoming a health center advocate
In-keeping with this year’s theme, Community Health Centers: Lighting the Way for Healthier Communities Today and in the Future! HopeHealth also highlighted the future of centers in our community with a groundbreaking ceremony for HopeHealth on Pine Needles Road, Florence. The event was live-streamed on Facebook and can be viewed at facebook.com/hopehealthinc/videos.
