HOPEHEALTH RECOGNIZES NATIONAL HEALTH CENTER WEEK

National Health Center Week is typically a week full of events at HopeHealth. This year, as COVID-19 continues to take a toll on our communities, HopeHealth celebrated NHCW, Aug. 9-15, by:

Recognizing the HopeHealth Board of Directors as valuable community stakeholders and advocates
Providing education on our advocacy efforts and goals
Distributing food boxes to HopeHealth patients and highlighting important issues such as having a primary care provider, screenings/early detection, nutrition, blood pressure, and pre-diabetes
Promoting the importance of registering to vote and voting, completing the census, and becoming a health center advocate

In-keeping with this year’s theme, Community Health Centers: Lighting the Way for Healthier Communities Today and in the Future! HopeHealth also highlighted the future of centers in our community with a groundbreaking ceremony for HopeHealth on Pine Needles Road, Florence.
