HopeHealth welcomes new provider
HopeHealth welcomes Anna Kelly, MD, a physician providing care at the Pain Center at HopeHealth on Palmetto Street.
She received a Doctor of Medicine in 1989 from Emory University School in Atlanta, where she also completed four years of residency training in anesthesiology. She is a graduate of “Medical Acupuncture for Physicians” through UCLA in 1999 and is the first physician in Georgia to obtain her commission from The National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine as a Licensed Acupuncturist. In 2007, she received her Master of Arts degree in Applied Healing Arts from Maryland University of Integrative Health in Laurel, Maryland. Dr. Kelly is Board Certified by The American Board of Anesthesiology, The American Board of Preventive Medicine and The American Board of Medical Acupuncture.
Dr. Kelly has studied Eastern Medicine, philosophy, and spirituality for most of her medical career, and brings to clinical practice the universality of the 12-step model for patients functionally suffering from chronic pain as well as addiction.
Dr. Kelly practiced for 20 years in an Integral Medicine setting before moving to more traditional medical settings at Walter Reed Warrior Clinic in Bethesda, University of Florida, and Gundersen Healthcare in Wisconsin before relocating to her home state of South Carolina.
