Victor’s Hosts Thanksgiving Eve Block Party Benefitting Children of Hope
The holidays were merry and bright for 109 families who received Christmas gifts and household items from HopeHealth’s Children of Hope program. This was due in part to Victors (109 South Dargan Street, Florence) who hosted its annual Thanksgiving Eve Block Party to raise money for the program.
In lieu of an entry fee, attendees were asked to either provide a minimum donation of $5, or bring a toy to donate valued at $5 or more. All donated proceeds supported Children of Hope.
During the month of July, HopeHealth employees donated $34,000 through the Christmas in July campaign. At the Thanksgiving Eve event, nearly $4,000 was raised, which allowed HopeHealth to provide additional gifts to patient families identified as having significant need.
The Children of Hope program has existed since 1996, and HopeHealth has expanded the program from being Florence-based to serving children from all HopeHealth service areas.
Nicole Echols, director of external affairs, shared her gratitude for Victors choosing Children of Hope to support this year. “I am thankful to Tim and Anne Norwood, owners of Victors, for their continued support of HopeHealth and the Children of Hope program. This event ensured we could give even more to the families we serve.”
