Clinician Nexus at HopeHealth

  1. Create an account on Clinician Nexus, if you have not already: Sign up for your Clinician Nexus Account.
    -Use your school email address. You will need to confirm your email address before moving forward.
    -Select the box that says “apply for clinical experiences as a student, resident, volunteer, etc” as your role.
    -You will then select your school, which will be listed as Your School’s Name
    -Fill in your Program details, select Nurse Practitioner as your discipline

  2.  You may complete your profile at this time. This step is not required; however, we do ask that you at least add your headshot to your profile. This will allow your preceptors to see your photo and recognize you when you arrive on rotation. For help with this, please see this link: Student: Setting Up Your Profile
  3. You can also search and find clinical rotations from other organizations that may use Clinician Nexus through Clinician Nexus’s Find Clinical Experiences feature. For more information, please see the following: Student: Search and Apply for Rotations
  4. Once we have been able to identify and confirm a preceptor for you, your rotation will be moved to accepted and the onboarding process will begin within the system. You will also be able to communicate directly through the system with the coordinator for HopeHealth and preceptors, etc.
  5. We do ask that once you begin your rotation, you complete a simple time log within the system. Also, at the end of your rotation, you will be asked to evaluate the overall clinical experience and your preceptor. Both of these are confidential.
