Meet our team
Kelly Lyles, MD, Chairman of Medical Education
I was born in Florence SC and graduated from West Florence High School. I graduated from the College of Charleston with a degree in Biology. I then attended the Medical University of SC and the University of SC for medical school and did my residency in Internal Medicine at the University of SC. I then returned to Florence and have worked in the outpatient as well as the inpatient setting. I retired from clinical practice in March of 2025 after 35 years of caring for patients, the last 12 years with HopeHealth. As chief resident at the University of SC and as a practicing physician, I have worked with medical students, medical residents, nurse practioner and physician assistant students. Now I am here to help ensure a good experience both for the preceptor as well as the clinical learner.
